Valueworks: Effects of Financialization along the Copper Value Chain @UNRISD

How does the global (financialized) commodity trade impact local lifeworlds? This video gives an overview of what has been learned from field research undertaken in 2017-2018 on how copper trading processes affect local lives along the copper value chain, from the mining pits and the surrounding communities in Zambia through Swiss trading firms and banks.

The footage is from the introduction to a public roundtable discussion of the outcomes of the project "Valueworks: Effects of Financialization along the Copper Value Chain".
