Defense Boost isn't required since you can have the tank put up a ladder but it does help in reliability since you would need a light tank instead which does not have the necessary capacity to hold a Defogging Unit. The Defogging Unit allows for the shots on the enemy Heavy Tank and MG-Turret to be more reliable to hit. After that, Imca can get Scout Exp after she kills a Lancer and takes the enemy base camp.
