Hello and welcome to today's video. Have you ever felt like you just needed to scream but couldn't find the right words or moment to do so? Well, today we're going to talk about the power of a silent scream, and how it can help release anxiety and stress in the body.
Stress and anxiety can take a toll on our mental and physical well-being, but did you know that it can also affect our vagal tone and heart rate variability (HRV)? Trauma or stress that we hold onto decreases our vagal tone and HRV, leading to feelings of nervousness and tension.
That's where a silent scream comes in. A silent scream involves taking a deep breath, tensing your muscles, and letting out a soundless scream. This release of energy can help reduce tension and anxiety and improve vagal tone, which is responsible for regulating our stress response.
So the next time you're feeling overwhelmed and stressed, try a silent scream. It may sound strange, but it can have a powerful impact on your well-being. Give it a try and see for yourself.
Thank you for watching. If you found this video helpful, don't forget to like and share. Until next time, take care. Justin

As someone who recovered from the severe trauma of losing my son, I know the importance of finding some ease within the body. I witnessed Joshua's last breaths and this image aroused PTSD and severe anxiety and depression.
Accessing the Vagus Nerve and Polyvagal Theory were critical in my recovery. It allowed me the capacity to find a little ease whilst in tandem I built a meditation practice and sought therapy.
This video is recorded life with a group who are participating in my online course (www.remotetribe.co.uk) where we dive deep into the neuroscience of stress, mindfulness and recovery.
Recovery from whatever loss or stress you have suffered is possible. It does require a desire to do the work, and a commitment to show up. Remember to seek help, speak to friends and find a therapist or coach that is right for you.
