UVA School of Medicine Match Day 2024
Celebrate with us and the School of Medicine Class of 2024 as they learn where they will train as residents.

Transcript:
It was really nerve wracking leading up to it, but I'm excited to celebrate with all my classmates and find out where everyone's going to residency.

Really excited and relieved and just nervous. Really nervous.

Really glad to be going somewhere. I'm really excited about. I'm really thankful for being here.

To you the class of 2024, Congratulations.

Match Day is not about just these envelopes and the residency programs that you're going to join.
It's about dreams being realized, futures being embraced, and the promise of your impact on so many patients. Soon to be inside this bowl next to me is your future.

Match Day represents in many ways a leap of faith. We must trust that our preparation up to this point will not fail us in this regard. Looking out over the faces of my classmates this morning, I am filled with a sense of confidence in your futures and in the future of medicine. Thank you. Good luck. Congratulations.

Everybody has helped me get this far. I wouldn't have made it without all of the people that have helped me.

I've been looking forward to this day for four years. I mean, so much to be here surrounded by all my friends and family. I couldn't be more thrilled.

You have overcome so much, I think, how we did it together. Yeah.
