Utah may step up efforts to remind drivers that the left lane is for passing, not cruising.

Utah Highway Patrol says it issues more than 500 impeding citations each year and is considering new education campaigns, electronic sign messaging and targeted enforcement to reduce "left-lane loafing" and improve traffic flow. Troopers say while tailgating remains a bigger safety concern, drivers should move back to the right after passing.
