Welcome to the first ever citra pokemon TAS (I think???). In this TAS, I demonstrate a way to setup guillotine no guard machamp in SINGLES! The gimmick, is that guillotine will always OHKO the opponent, but it only works 30% of the time due to its low accuracy. The ability no guard causes all moves to bypass accuracy checks and always land, so you see where I'm going with this... However, although its pretty easy to do this in a doubles battle because you can trade abilities and copy moves from your own pokemon, it's almost impossible to do in a singles battle setting because your opponent would have to have the OHKO move, and OHKO moves are extremely uncommon. Even if an opponent did have such move, you would have to prevent them from switching out, otherwise you would not end up copying any moves. This makes things very complicated to setup because it requires a very, VERY specific set of conditions to work. Some conditions that need to happen:
*Preventing the opponent from switching out when copying the move
*Forcing the opponent to use guillotine via PP stalling the foe
*Manipulating the RNG to avoid critical hits that threaten to OHKO you while pp stalling the opponent
*Manipulating the RNG to force exact switches and specific moves from the opponent
*Knowing your opponents EXACT move
*Knowing exactly how much pp the opponent has remaining
So, how did I do all of this? I came up with a strategy that involved forcing me and the opponent to stay in and switch out using the abilities shadow tag, emergency exit, and the moves recycle, mean look, and assist with fairy lock using the item red card. Shadow tag prevents the opponent from switching out (unless they are ghost type, all ghosts are immune, but the opponent has no ghost types on their team), emergency exit forces the user to switch out when they are at 50% hp or less, and red card forces the opponent to switch out if the user survives their attack. Recycle will restore the red card back to the holder and mean look will trap any incoming pokemon, and assist can call fairy lock and prevent switches on the next turn. Using savestates, I could see exactly what was going to happen on the next turn(s) so I could play the game flawlessly and give you an, "impossible" demonstration of one of the most broken exploits in pokemon. Hope you enjoyed watching!
