Hi Everybody - Would you like to get a sketch put on Urban Sketchers website? This year, everyone who gives $5 or more as part of the Giving Campaign (Giving Tuesday) is eligible to have a sketch put on the new Gallery of Donors wall.
Iām Glenna Anderson, Iām in USk Chicago and I just joined the Fundraising Committee.
I would like to thank everyone who gives their time to this organization in big ways and small ways. Even if it is just giving art suggestions to the person sitting next to you at a sketching event. All of that is incredibly important, as you know this organization is run based on volunteers.
We also do have expenses though . Our organization has grown chapters by almost 50% since early 2022.
We are a non-profit and provide insurance to all the local chapters so they can hold events without concern in public areas.
We have a website and an accountant.
And more fun we provide grants to local chapters that want to expand and want to provide services to underprivileged people in their local communities.
So, weād love it if you give in any amount comfortable this year and if not weād love it if you continue giving your time. Have a great holiday season and I hope to meet you sketching somewhere soon!
