Using the Kubota L2501 to build a clay lined pond. Part 1.
I decided to test the soil on my property and have no clay which is delaying my project. I borrowed a Kubota L2501 with a tiller to start digging but noticed it requires many small buckets to make a dent in the soil. I will be lining the pond with clay and bentonite chips. The clay I will order will be about $150 per 12 or 13 yards. I have been testing clays and found a spot of nice red clay to purchase which will be a 42 mile round trip.

I used a backhoe to search for clay first which was a bust, I then built a hole and that leaked through badly, I tried locating clay for months and company to move it and this is were I currently sit with the project.

I have a small budget for this build due to clay and transport cost. I really want to attract wild life to the ranch
