I cut rocks and used them to make a bench. I bought a couple of rocks for about $8 each and the cut one side of the rocks to make them flat. I used an angle grinder with a diamond blade meant for tile and granite. I had a leftover piece of a 6by12 beam from the construction of my new house. These beams are 5-1/2" by 11-1/4" in the cross section. I carved the wood with a saw and machete at first before power carving curves with an angle grinder and a Holey Galahad Carving disk.
