I built a DIY foot bridge over a storm drain as an alternative to culvert. This type of small bridge is perfect for creeks and ponds, was easy to build and didn't require a lot of tools. Culvert pipes were recommended by our civil engineer but we would have needed to get 18" diameter culvert pipes which are quite expensive.
