In this video, I show you some useful hacks for wood plane shavings.

For the first hack (securing a bench dog with a shaving) that idea came from Andrew Hunter's shop tour, here (at 5:56): youtube.com/watch?v=e9HvZ78-TJ0
Also, I first saw the burnishing wood tip on the WoodWright's Shop episode where he is using molding planes.
The other ones, as far as I know, I didn't explicitly get from somewhere else, but I'm sure that just about everybody must use shavings as kindling and wiping up glue. Let me say, though, that since I've been using shavings as kindling, I quite literally just through a ball of shavings in the burn pit, light it, and walk away. Then 15 minutes later I come back to roast marshmallows with my family. So, I love that!
Similarly, with the charcoal chimney, that has made lighting my grill MUCH easier and more consistent.
The last hack, the bandy-clamp, is not very feasible if you need real pressure. But here I didn't, so it worked fine.
I have one more completely useless hack that I have yet to execute 100% correctly, and I didn't want to just show it in theory. When I do, have it ready, I'll be sure to let you all know!
