CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says US stocks saw some “modest improvements” in the markets overnight.

“We only saw modest improvements for US stocks – the S&P 500, for example, up by around 0.1 of a per cent,” he told Sky News Australia.

“They’re still in record territory. That’s important to note.”
