This was the last railroad crossing I recorded on March 21, 2026. After finishing up the sugar railroads, I then decided to head up to Okeechobee to see if I can try to catch anything on the CSX Auburndale Subdivision. Turns out, I got pretty lucky! A local was working here and I managed to get it going through the crossing while still activating! What a great way to end the day there.
Crossing info:
Signal on the left: 8 - 12"x24" WCH Flatback w/ Leotek EV series LEDs, a Safetran 2000s gate mechanism, 4" NEG LED gatelights, and an NEG E-Bell.
Signal on the right: 10 - 12"x24" WCH w/ WCH 2nd Gen. LEDs, a Safetran 2000s gate mechanism, 4" NEG LED gatelights, and a dead WCH 2nd Gen. Mechanical Bell.
Location:
U.S. Route 98
Okeechobee, Florida
Locomotive:
CSX 5460 - ES40DC
