The US, being the melting pot of culture it is, has a diverse military. To accommodate Muslim soldiers a Halal Meal Individual is issued in place of a regular Meal Ready to Eat (MRE). Taste test reviewing these different menus is always very interesting for me. This one is Lentil Stew With Lamb from 2017, certainly not the kind of menu you'd usually find in an American ration.
