I've never come across MRE Chicken with Noodles and Vegetables that looks like this! This classic Meal Ready to Eat menu is usually decently tasty, but sitting around for more than 20 years has turned it to 'snot.' US Military rations are well known for their outstanding shelf life, but this vintage example was showing its age. This field ration contained a weird main course and gross, stinky cheese, but it still had redeeming qualities such as the awesome aged fig bars. I can see why this meal kit has been an Army staple for so long.
