Guru Shri N Purushotthaman (1925-25/05/2001) ....
Was the scion of the Sri Narahari Bhagavathar and Sri Budaloor Krishnamurthi Shastri legacy of music stalwarts to have graced and contributed to the divine art of Classical Carnatic music. Guru Shri N Purushotthaman Sir headed the prestigious Darpana academy of performing arts for decades, training Shishyas in both Vocal music and Gottuvadyam ,sharing his vast repertoire of rare Varnams,Krithis and Keertanas unconditionally with anyone and everyone desirous of learning. Such was the greatness of our dearest Guru who remained unsung, humble and shunned any limelight all his life. Guruji remained wedded to music and music alone and stood tall as an extraordinary mentor with unique pedagogical skills. Our humble pranams at the lotus feet of a great Guru!
