The giant planet Uranus has a rotation axis (dark blue arrow on the right) tipped 98° from its orbit, so it rotates "on its side". The magnetic field (shown in orange lines) is tipped about 60° from that (the magnetic axis pole is the light blue arrow spinning around), so it whips around. The direction to the Sun is indicated by the yellow arrow.
