When it comes to improving Model Railroad Locomotive sound there are many options to consider. It is not yet quite a science as much as it is an art. There are so many variable factors which are hard to measure unless one tries them. On the other hand, there are some standards to consider when choosing the right speaker or decoder for a particular installation. Since every locomotive is different, each install can be different and will often require some personal innovation to make it all fit.
