This week, George upgrades a Rapido E8 with a Blunami BLU-21PNEM8 decoder, a CurrentKeeper, and two Scale Sound Systems speakers for bigger, richer sound.

The decoder installation is as simple as plugging it in. While upgrading the speakers isn’t required, we highly recommend it for the best possible audio performance. Adding a CurrentKeeper also helps ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation over dirty track and turnouts.

As a bonus, George repurposes the unused red class lights into a functional cab light—adding both realism and practicality.
