Freezing the rinka again gives us slightly more time to do this trick, and I find that getting the shot is more consistent without jumping.

I use the top of the square section below the zebitite as a visual cue. Depending on what platform is being played on though it will be different, so play around with it to see what works for you. The sweetspot for freezing the rinka is high enough to avoid getting hit by one of the turrets to the left while still being low enough to get through the zebitite.
