Note at the beginning.
This mini-quest is to unlock the chaos, cooking and goldsmith gauntlets all at the same time.
After completion of the Family crest quest, you have received a pair of steel gauntlets as a reward, which can be changed into any of the 3 aforementioned gauntlets. Just one at a time.
Go to the NPC in the Al-Kharid mine to get Goldsmith gauntlets
Catherby NPC to get cooking gauntlets
Jolly Boar inn near the lumberyard NPC for chaos gauntlets
If you really want to own all 3 at the same time or want to complete this mini-quest,

Recommended:

- a dozen good boat repair kits
- any weap, gear and food to defeat a cb 191 that cannot be safespotted and uses melee only with a max hit of 28. It is weak to every cb style.

Getting from base 45 to 50 which unlocked some nice upgrades such as adamant gloves, barbarian hats, supercompost and most importantly the Farming guild.
This allows me to stop going to the sorceress garden as contracts provide plenty of banked herblore xp.
Done with the slow low level training methods. Season 2 will start with hunting many upgrades. Not only for combat but also skilling.

recommended:

food and weapon to kill a solely melee using cb 69 undead with max hit of 7 but has very high ranged defense
food and potions to defeat a warrior while being naked. Bring 2rings of recoil can be helpful
an event rpg, dramen branch + knife or clue caskets to smuggle weapons and armor into a fight which you suppose to do naked
7 empty invent slots
food and weapon to kill the cb 48 for that 1/17 drop if you’d wish to do it that, but I’m not going to because that will take longer on average
