- If you want to complete a wilderness hard diary task during the quest; you’ll also need
a knife to cut some web, some food to pass aggressive monsters and possible other players
- If you don’t want to fish the lava eel in the wilderness, you’ll need
an anti-dragonfire shield and either, 70 agility or a dusty key (which you can obtain during)
- You’ll also need to have a partner of the opposite thieving clan from the Shield of Arrav quest. Your partner can have this quest completed already and would still be able to help you. If you don’t know anyone who can help you or you don’t have an alt: Join the cc “osrs soa” and ask around
- The black arm gang member:
a black full helm, platebody and platelegs (trimmed armour does not work)
- The phoenix gang member:
magic or ranged method to kill a cb22

The search
Head outside and inspect the big fern plant
Search the rocks and the footprints split path is same for everyone
head south
Search the fern plant again to split it again
Head SE and search the dead bush
Head east and search the bush
Head NE and search the small bush
Head north and open the trapdoor 1
Head north and lookover the balcony NE
Head west and pick up 2 bottles, kill 3 zombies and pick up a 3rd bottle.
Collect 3x mist and open the door
Collect 3 more red mist and go through the next gate. Look over the next balcony
Teleport to Varrock
Talk to Elias White west of the stairs
Teleport to Camdazaal beneath ice mountain and talk to Ramarno north of the entrance 2
Head west to the mines and start mining barronite until you get 1 deposit
Head to the other side and defeat a cb 70 chaos golem
Use the chaos core on the deposit and head back to Ramarno.
Use the imbued deposit on the forge
Teleport to Varrock and climb the NW tower to talk to Captain robin
Talk to reldo and read the scroll on the ground
Teleport to Varrock and use the shield on Romeo and next on Horvik the armour salesman
Use the shield on Dimintus to complete your quest
You are awarded with 2 QP
15k smithing and hunter xp
Zemouregal’s base access where you have collected red mist. Those zombies now drop a new axe
