Conventions I will be attending in 2023:
Anime Matsuri 2023
Colossalcon Texas 2023
Awesome Con 2023
I will not be attending any DC anime conventions this year including Otakon since the DC anime convention scene like most others is still recovering from the Coronachan Panic. Because these days anime cons are not fun anymore in most places and a lot of anime cons are not doing enough to bring back veterans who moved on to conventions that operated as normal as soon as they are legally allowed to.
There is a possibility of attending Colossalcon Prime for 2023 but my chances are silm. But at least I have the ability to just buy airfare at will with the job I have now.

This is documentary about the only anime convention in the United States that operated normally during the Coronachan Panic, no mask mandates or vax mandates, at a time where every anime convention had mandates either imposed by the governments where they located or self imposed: Anime Matsuri 2021.
The Ministry of Otaku was one of them, and was one of the few (and possibly the only) independent journalist that documented what happened 4 days was spent recording what happened.
This the seventh episode in a ongoing series.

There were less food trucks in anime matsuri in 2022 than in 2021. All the food trucks this year were parked in Avenue of the Americas in Houston, Texas. In the previous year there were more food trucks near one of the hotels at Discovery Park.
