BREAKING: Connecticut State Police are investigating a homicide on South Road in Somers after a person was found with gunshot wounds early Tuesday morning.

One person has been detained, and police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.

There is also police activity nearby on Parker Road, where investigators are focusing on a white Mitsubishi. Police had news crews move away from the vehicle as they secured the area, and a drone is being deployed.

South Road is now blocked off as both investigations continue.
