Evie (ChickasaurusGL) 🌺 | Unused jingles 0x2D (045) and 0x92 (146) (Replacing caught jingle) (Generation II) @ChickasaurusGL | Uploaded August 2021 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
Notes: Jingles 0x2D (also known as SFX_FANFARE) and 0x92 are unused fanfares. In this video 0x2D is shown and then 0x92.
An entry for 0x2D appears in a data structure of text sound command data, and is labelled in the disassembly project as dbw TX_SOUND_12, SFX_FANFARE , but cannot be played. We can however replace the second parameter in another text sound command to match SFX_FANFARE, or 0x92 (the latter which doesn't appear in the data structure at all).
Special thanks Hacky for documenting these as unused in 2016.

You can play them with the following Game Genie codes (for an emulator), where the 'caught a Pokémon' sound is replaced with 0x2D or 0x92;
2d3-bae-e62 - Play sound 0x2D instead
923-bae-e62 ; '' 0x92

Sounds 205 (0xCD) and 206 (0xCE) were also introduced in Crystal. 0xCD was used for unlocking the Card Folder, and 0xCE had no documented use, but may be for the Mobile System GB service as well.
