As with recent days, Wednesday has seen some heavy, thundery downpours across the UK. The jet stream (yellow/orange) will be close to or over the UK for the rest of this week. This will cause areas of low pressure to develop and affect the UK into the weekend and beyond. Friday into Saturday looks unseasonably wet and windy for many areas.
