Unlock the HMR-9 in ONE GAME of MW3 Zombies! (Classified Sector Challenges Season 1 Reloaded)
In this video i’m going to show how i managed to unlock the new HRM-9 SMG in just one game of Modern Warfare 3 Zombies.
So if you didn’t already know the HRM-9 is unlocked through the new classified sector of the battle pass & requires you to kill 20 special zombies while moving with any SMG.
Before you can progress that challenge tho you first need to complete the challenges for the first 4 tiers of this classified sector, You can do these 4 challenges in any order that you want to.
So for the first tier you need to get 10 special zombies kills while aiming down sights with an SMG which will unlock the Jak Thunder after market part
The challenge for the second tier is to get 10 special zombie kills while hip firing with SMGS and this unlock the new JAK BFB Muzzle attachment
The third tiers challenge is to get 10 special zombie critical kills while using an SMG which will unlock the Cranium Cranked Emblem.
For the 4th sector you need to get 10 special zombie kills while in tac stance which will unlock a 30 minute double battle pass XP
Like i say once you’ve completed all 4 of these challenges in any order you’ll then be able to start progressing the unlock challenge for the HRM SMG itself.
My go to SMG in Zombies is the WSP Swarm, Usually I'd run these akimbo but because of the challenges we need to do using them akimbo is just not going to work.
So i’ll chuck my non akimbo setup on screen at the moment if you wanted to use it for yourself.
If you didn’t already know if you complete a single game of zombies before Season 2 releases in a few weeks you’ll actually be rewarded with 3 legendary aether tools, 3 flawless aetherium crystals & 1 case for each of the different wonder weapons.
The reason i’m mentioning this is because I used one of the legendary aether tools and flawless crystals from this on my wsp swarm while i was trying to unlock the new smg.
So If you don’t have any tools or crystals in your stash or that you can craft when trying to do these challenges then using these free ones would be a solid option.
So basically I just went straight to a Tier 2 Exfil point once it showed up at the beginning of the game and here is where it’s going to be the best place to farm special zombie kills as each time you call in the exfil is going to spawn multiple manglers and disciples.
To help kill them faster you could also consider using the dead wire ammo mod which deals more damage to disciples or the napalm burst ammo mod which will deal more damage to the manglers although this might be kind of overkill if your already using a legendary tool and pap 3 crystal gifted from treyarch.
So first up is the 10 ads kills which means that you need to be fully aiming down the sights of your gun when you kill a special zombie
Once you’ve done that then you need to kill 10 specials while hipfiring. so this is the complete opposite of the first challenge, don’t aim down sights at all only fire your gun from the hip
Next is the critical kills so basically kill the specials by shooting them in the head which you also be trying to do while your getting the aim down sights and hipfire challenges done.
The last of the four challenges is to get 10 special kills with tac stance, Now to put your gun into tac stance what you need to do is simply aim down sights, so hold in your left trigger and then press down on the d-pad and this will put your gun into tac stance.
Once you’ve completed all of those 4 challenges you’ll then instantly be able to start on the main weapon unlock challenge which is get 20 special kills while moving with an smg.
So what it means by getting kills while moving is basically that you just need to be moving around by using your left stick while you get the kill. So just strafe left and right or move backwards and forwards while your killing the specials.
Personally i managed to smash out all of these challenges and unlock the new SMG with-in about 20 minutes, So you’re going to have plenty of time for enough special zombies to spawn.
As an alternative to doing all of these challenges, You could just get a friend or someone else who already has this weapon unlocked to drop it for you in game so that you can extract with as extracting with any weapon or piece of equipment you don’t have unlocked will unlock it for you in zombies.
The downside to this is that you’re not going to get the other bonus rewards from the classified sector but if that doesn’t bother you then this could be the way to go.
