Unlock FREE Rewards during MW2 Free Access! (Modern Warfare 2 Free Access Season 2 Reloaded)
It’s been rumored for awhile now that a new Free Access weekend for MW2 would be happening around the same time as Season 2 Reloaded, Well this morning this has been officially confirmed and in this video we’re going to take a look at the details of this free access period including some free rewards you’ll be able to unlock while it is live.
So the free access event itself will go live the day after season 2 reloaded starts which is the 16th of March and it will be available to play until the 20th. It doesn’t mention in this mornings blog post exactly when you’ll be able to start the download for this but going off how things have worked it the past the download will most likely go live at 10am PST bn
To find the download you should either be able to just boot up Warzone and there will be an option for the Free Access at the main menu OR you can just simply search for it through the store of whichever platform you're on, Just search up MW2 Free Access.
While it’s live there will be access to multiple different modes, This mornings blog mentions regular modes like ground war, invasion, team deathmatch, kill confirmed, hardpoint and domination as well as some of the newly added party games like infected, one in the chamber and all or nothing.
As well as that Episode One of the Raid in spec ops will be included in this free access event which means that there is an opportunity to unlock 8 different free rewards.
Unfortunately only the regular version of the raid will be available to play but that’s not a massive loss as the blueprint reward for finishing episode one on veteran is kind of shit but non the less with the regular raid being available you can unlock the following rewards.
There is the Convoy skin for Operator Gaz that you’ll unlock for the first time you complete it as well 7 other smaller rewards that will be given at random each time you finish the raid which includes the enforcer blueprint for the Kastov Assault Rifle and some calling cards, emblems and loading screens.
If you’re struggling to find others to party up and complete the raid with you can either join my discord which will be linked in the description below and you can jump into the mw2 raid channel or you can take advantage of the looking for party feature in game which was added for the raid in a recent update
On top of being able to unlock these rewards from the raid you’ll also be able to complete the standard operator challenges that are limited to MW2 Multiplayer. There’s about 7 operators total that you’ll be able to unlock during this free access period and the challenges for them are super straightforward, you can view them in the operators tab of the main menu.
Finally there’s also the new cherry blossom camo challenges that are being added with Season 2 Reloaded, If you missed my recent video about it then the way that this works is that there are 10 different challenges to complete for each weapon type, each challenge you complete will unlock the winds of ash camo for that specific weapon type and once you’ve completed them all you’ll unlock the bowing blossoms camo as a sort of mastery reward
Now although you will still be able to complete these challenges in Warzone you’ll be able to get them done so much quicker in multiplayer compared to battle royale or resurgence because you can start the game with whichever weapon you need to use and the games are much more fast paced which means you’ll get into more gunfights which is ideal for getting these challenges done.
