Were FINALLY at the FINAL video for this borderlands style lootbox. Congrats to all of you, especially me. In this video we get our model and all the textures out of 3d coat, give it a quick once over in 3ds max to connect meshes and sort of pivot points, and then throw it into the Unity 3d engine where we give it a (totally optional) shader, bring it to life with some animation, and throw down a quick particle effect to boot.

In this Unity shader tutorial, were taking a look at advancing the dissolve techniques you may have already seen, by creating a material that can burn any object, and then disintegrate it into nothingness.
In this third and final part were covering the dissolve away and also taking a look at vertex offsets to create a molten liquid type of effect.
Were using Amplify Shader Editor for this, but if youre using Shader Forge or even the new Unity Graph system, you should be able to follow along just fine.
The good people over at Amplify reached out to me to about the Get and Set nodes that I mention in the video, the way you do it with Amplify Shader Editor is via the Get Local Var and Set Local Var nodes.
