Unity in Dance: Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, Raga Mand. In a dance Jugalbandi of two Indian classical dance forms, this piece highlights the nuances that make each dance style unique. The geometric movements of Bharatanatyam by Tarini Kumar and Sharanya Swaminathan are juxtaposed against the more rounded movements of Kuchipudi by Sahithi Vegunta and Pushkara Chaganti. In an inspired experiment, the two dancers performing each of the genres i.e. Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, merge as one entity to perform the movements, hand gestures and expressions of their own beautiful dance form. The choreography is by Tarini Kumar and Sahithi Vegunta.
