LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Friday the South Carolina Democratic Party announced they had filed a lawsuit to extend the registration deadline because of Hurricane Helene.

In their argument, SCDP cited a previous extension request which was granted after Hurricane Florence.

The court's granted this request, so instead of the deadline being Sunday, it's now October 14th.

But this is not the only thing of note for this election.
