Meet Maja Simić. She is a Serbian who spent her formative years in Germany, lived through the nineties in Belgrade, and in in two thousand and eight emigrated to Australia. There she worked as an advisor to the Mayor of Adelaide. Three years later she returned to Serbia, where she became an award-winning and internationally recognized artist. She took me to the rooftop of her building and shared why migrants are not truly welcome in Australia and how she rediscovered Serbia after living abroad. Ajmo!
