Companies wanting to do business in China are on edge after Chinese authorities detained two corporate investigators-people who help foreign firms with risk management services.
British man Peter Humphrey and his wife, US citizen Yu Yingzeng, founded ChinaWhys, a company that helps their clients with "discreet risk mitigation solutions, internal process audit due diligence and commercial investigation services."
ChinaWhys had provided services to GlaxoSmithKlein, the British pharmaceutical giant that's currently under a bribery investigation in China. However, it's unclear whether the detention on Mr Humphrey and Ms Yu are linked to this probe.
