Meaning no songs have references to these songs and these songs have no references to others
I've seen a lot of people say things along the lines of "THIS GAME HAS ONE SONG WHAT". That's usually a joke, but then someone seriously replies "no, it's like 6". There's nothing really WRONG with there being a few songs; Super Mario World uses the same melody for every single one of its stage themes! But Undertale's not one of those games. While the vast majority of songs use leitmotifs (as can be seen in this video, which has 10 songs in it out of 101 in the album), it's not that much more than most games.
This wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't used as an excuse by idiots who know nothing about video game music to hate on the game. Dammit, Koji Kondo uses leitmotifs, calling Undertale's soundtrack lazy for leitmotifs is calling Koji Kondo lazy, and that is something that we call "wrong".
