Relationship with God is not based on WORKS or ACTIVITIES, but it’s based on what Christ did. That’s GRACE. It’s POSITIONAL – IT’S IN HIM!!!!!!!
Under this legal positional transfer, the “old things” have passed away, meaning we are no longer held under the penalty of sin nor its dominating power.
It is important that we understand the difference between our position in God and our living with God as a reaction to what Jesus has done on the cross for us.
• our position in God is what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross.
• our living with God is what Jesus requires of us in our response to Him.
Many get concerned when discussing grace because they think it promotes unclean living or sin. That is the furthest thing from the truth. Grace does not attract sin or attract you to it – it repels sin and promote righteousness, peace and joy.
