There are plenty of ways that you can get better at understanding real spoken French, if you’re creative enough! A great way to do this is to listen to news stories in French. Not only will you learn more about French current events, but you’ll also expand your vocabulary and become familiar with more formal spoken French.

Today, I’m going to break down some of the top news stories from France this summer. You’ll have a chance to practice your understanding of spoken French, while also learning some common vocabulary and expressions that you’d hear very often in a newsroom.
