Arrow Video kick off 2026 with a brand new 4K Ultra HD release of Under Siege (1992), bringing Steven Seagal’s naval action thriller to 4K with Dolby Vision and a brand new Dolby Atmos mix.
This release comes housed in a standard Amaray case with slipcover, featuring the original theatrical artwork. As usual with Arrow, we also get a reversible sleeve — offering the classic poster art on one side, and the alternate artwork originally used for the Japanese LaserDisc on the reverse. Inside the case you’ll find the 4K Ultra HD disc alongside a collector’s booklet.
On the video front, Under Siege is presented in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio and includes both HDR10 and Dolby Vision grading. While the previous Blu-ray was already solid, this new 4K transfer offers a noticeable upgrade — with improved fine detail, stronger contrast, and more dynamic, vibrant colours throughout. Skin tones look natural, highlights are better controlled, and the image has a more refined, filmic appearance overall.
Audio is where this release really shines. Alongside the original 2-channel stereo track, Arrow have included a brand new Dolby Atmos mix — and it’s an excellent presentation. The soundstage is wide and immersive, with active use of the surrounds and height channels. Action sequences, gunfire, and explosions have real impact, while elements of the score and ambient effects are cleverly placed around the room.
Extras are another big win here. This film has historically been pretty light on special features, but Arrow have gone back and added a strong selection of new material. Included are newly recorded interviews with Erica Eleniak, Damian Chapa, director Andrew Davis, and visual effects supervisor William Mesa, along with a new audio commentary featuring Andrew Davis and writer J.F. Lawton. Together, they offer a genuinely insightful look into the production of the film.
All in all, this is another strong release from Arrow Video — a solid 4K upgrade, a fantastic Atmos mix, and a welcome batch of new bonus features. A great way for Arrow to kick off their 2026 slate.
