it's definitely been a while since i uploaded something, honestly i didn't really want to (i still have some parts done that idk if i can upload and i don't wanna upset people + some other unfinished stuff that i'm not sure if i'm ever gonna finish), but these parts were weighing down on me SO MUCH so i just had to get rid of them. i have recently kinda lost motivation for editing, i'm not sure if this is just for mep parts or not because i do have inspiration for personal projects, but i never get the time or actual strength to sit down and edit seriously lol it's saddening me a bit tbh, so i hope i get out of this "block" soon. and the fact that i don't like most of the things i end up editing certainly doesn't help :') i feel like i am not improving at all anymore and i have 0 ideas, the only parts from this collection that i can comfortably say i'm happy about are the hot2touch one and the dame says one (only the first), the rest is just kinda ehhhhhh i really want to try harder, but as i said i can't do anything atm
plus, something really bad happened almost two weeks ago (going into detail would be pointless 'cause it's a long story, but what's important is that everything's ok now) and this made me question a lot of things in life and what my priorities should be etc., and i realized that spending hours and hours in front of my computer adjusting keyframes is probably not worth it, compared to other ways i could spend my time :/
anyway, i'm really sorry about this depressive kind of description XD some positivity is needed! so, good things about this collection:
1) look at all the SaruMi parts, OTP is always beautiful
2) i actually animated something again for the first time after nine months or so, in the Saeran x MC part. if i think that my editing used to be filled with animations everywhere, idek where i found the motivation to spend all that time just cutting and redrawing pictures tbh
anyway, i'll try my best to get my enthusiasm back as soon as possible and be more active, since i've been neglecting both my channel and other social media a lot lately and i feel bad about it, but circumstances were quite difficult honestly. i probably won't take any mep parts for a while, i'm sure a break will be refreshing and it will help! and i don't want to stress mep hosts either, other than myself

first of all, let me just say that my keyboard doesnt work because 20 minutes ago since i’m a smart person i opened a can of coke while sitting in front of my computer and it literally exploded :’) so now I’m writing this description from my phone. some letters work and some don’t, I hope that maybe tomorrow when everything has dried out a bit it will be fixed otherwise I’ll be very pissed lol
about the video, I really worked hard on this even though it may look simple. as I said several times already, editing with this pairing is always difficult for me because the amount of usable scenes is quite limited and I hate to reuse the same stuff over and over but it can’t be helped :/ I did try to do some scene manipulation to change things up at least, the one at 0:37 took HOURS and I almost didn’t use it because I was not sure if it looked ok or not, but after all the time I spent on it I just had to lol honestly I rendered this millions of times, once Sony Vegas even crashed in the middle of rendering which is something that had never happened to me before. I still see some minor details that I’d like to change but at this point I’m so done that I’m uploading it as it is. I’ll get over it with time haha i had edited with this song before, in 2015 to be exact, but i thought it would work well with the characters and editing it again with raw was a good chance to enjoy the instrumental especially
I’m quite surprised that this is the third Soukoku video I’ve edited in 2018, and ironically I’ve NEVER edited with K Project this year, which is WEIRD LOL just like the previous two, this video is also meant to be some sort of dedication/present for someone. wow my channel has been super active lately
i probably shouldnt upload this because i dont wanna spam youtube with mep parts, but tbh i put a lot of effort into it and im kinda happy so why not!
editing this was some kind of sweet death because i had a lot of ideas (im kinda inspired lately, thats weird haha) but they were all either really time taking or out of my reach because i just didnt know how to achieve that particular effect :) i even used cinema4d again (for the hourglass) and i think i did better this time, but this program is still confusing af for me :DD
also, i want to dedicate this to Stella because their husband is in it ;)) so one more reason to upload! AE still fucks me up with the rendering time btw XD

im uploading because the lack of fx on my channel was depressing me
plus i really enjoyed editing this part after all, it was one of those few (read: non-existent) cases when editing the song didnt make me grow tired of it but it actually made me wanna listen to it more! i even animated for the first time since july lol and i kinda regret everything cause for example at 00:12-00:13 you cant even tell the hair is moving and it took like an hour just for that

would you look at that, i finally managed to finish a video after opening 42389 projects for weeks!
this started as some sort of vent edit, since ive been feeling kinda upset about some things as of late and for the first time since i started editing basically i opened a new project with the sole purpose of letting my feelings out, not because i wanted to edit those specific characters or that specific song. then, as predictable because it seems like im absolutely incapable of doing anything without overthinking it, it turned into a regular video where i obsess over small things and render 34482309 times because i always see tiny mistakes that probably no one else would have noticed haha but honestly im glad, first of all because i actually accomplished something and secondly because it did help a bit with dealing with whats bothering me
plus as i was editing and listening to the song i kept thinking it reminded me SO MUCH of something, after a while i finally understood that the instrumental base sounds soooo similar to party monster by the weeknd which is a song ive wanted to edit for more than two years lol so no wonder this one caught my attention when i found it, other than the fact that the lyrics fit the characters of course
ill also take the chance to thank you all for 11k subscribers, which ive just reached today. to me this is a big accomplishment and im seriously happy and grateful for each and every person who watches whatever i post on this channel :) for the millionth time, i wanted to make something special but i dont feel like editing much nowadays (plus i have two parts and another project to complete before the end of the month), so i have no idea what to do tbh. i was thinking maybe some sort of Q&A? but idk if theres enough people interested for that, so if anyone has suggestions feel free to share haha
i hope you enjoyed the video! i hadnt edited otp since july 2018 and i was in withdrawal, what can i say :) the dvd/blue ray of their movie should also be released very soon, so hopefully good quality raws will finally be available. there’s so many new scenes I’d love to use
