Despite heightened societal and organizational attention to diversity, equity and inclusion, the effects of race and racism within organizations are often obscured. Professor Angelica Leigh's research seeks to shed light on this topic by explicitly uncovering the pervasive effects of race in the workplace.
In this talk, she examines the unique experiences of racial minority employees in organizations, the perceptions of leaders as they engage in racial allyship behaviors, and the often-elusive language that leaders employ when addressing issues related to race in the workplace.
