Woops. Being the idiot that I am, I accidentally muted the music track before exporting this video. You'll still hear my commentary, but you're going to have to provide your own background music... Although honestly I'm not against just leaving the music out from now on. Not everyone enjoys the same kind of music, and it's a real pain in the ass at times to find royalty free stuff.
Let me know if you guys prefer the lack of music, or if you'd rather I throw some in there next time.
The last video of my work on Page 9 of Orc and Gnome's Mild Adventures (which will officially launch on February 14th at https://ogmacomic.com). I ended up finishing the painting off camera.
I also started off by doing a very quick explanation of how I use brushes in Photoshop, and the methodology I use when painting. In the video, I mention two brush sets that I use:
- Shaddy Safadi's Brushes (shaddyconceptart.com/)
- Corbin Hunter's Portraiture Brushes (drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B4J20biDxA9leGt2WVJITGRwUkU)
Keep in mind that the brushes do not make the artist - they are merely a tool, and a tool both takes time to learn and also can be used in a multitude of not-always-obvious fashions.
As we haven't yet launched, our social media is still bare but everything will be up and running on the 14th:
