In this video, I unbox and demonstrate the Lockton 23mm Mortice Lock Round Furniture Kit (RND-KIT1 – Classroom configuration). This kit is designed for classroom-style door setups and comes complete with the mortice lock, round end furniture, and an oval cylinder.
Inside the box:
23mm Narrow Stile Mortice Lock (SG-SBML23)
External lever with cylinder hole (NRND-01C-25-SCP)
Internal lever only (NRND-02V-25-SCP)
Oval Cylinder (410 series, KA / KD / ALB option)
Key features demonstrated:
Retrofits most Australian 23mm backset mortice locks
Accepts Australian oval cylinders (includes KD cylinder)
Stainless steel reversible latch
Smooth “easy close” action – works well with electric strikes
Includes all fittings: turn-snib adaptor, strike plate, screws, and instructions
I’ll go through the unboxing, show you each part of the kit, and demonstrate how the lock functions once assembled. This is a practical solution for schools, offices, and commercial buildings that need a classroom function lock.
