A United Nations (UN) official accused Israeli troops of opening fire at positions held by its peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, wounding two.

The source said one of the locations fired at was the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon’s (UNIFIL) main base.

This latest development in the offensive in Lebanon comes as Israel’s cabinet met Thursday to cast their votes on how to respond to Iran’s Oct. 1 missile barrage.
