After a very relaxing couple of days at the lakeside it was time to move on - initially I hoped to leave the cold mornings behind but first we needed to go a little higher and find a little more cold before it started to warm up a little.
The landscapes we are driving through are simply stunning - so beautiful that I find that i'm switching off my radio so I can concentrate on the view. I have been listening to an audiobook on these last few trips - I think I'm finally getting the hang of them.
A quick stop with some healthy food at a new aire in a town that straddles the Way of Don Quixote which was a bit of a surprise - we saw signs for it everywhere with statues and road names dedicated to him - I did try to read the book as a kid but it was heavy going. I might see if they have that on audiobook.
