Now I know this year has been good for me to get out of my comfort zone with driving having driven the Banderas Reales and the Gorafe deserts in Spain but this was something else - maybe because even out of my comfort zone, I still had my comfort blanket (John)
Seeing the Hardnott Roman Fort was amazing, with it being build under Hadrians rule in the 2nd Century making it just a tad older than the Duddon Furnace built in the 18th Century. Both amazing and fabulous examples of the differing periods of History that you can see easily in this area.
