This was performed on the 19th April during an incredibly flukey session that saw my previous uploaded pb of 8:17 drop to 7:51 and 7:47 in the 1st and 2nd run and then to this 7:44 in like the 4th or 5th attempt. Closing in rapidly on the wr of 7:20 which uses Noob Saibot I wanted to really bridge the gap and make a statement or even surpass the wr using Nightwolf, a character that doesn't really have a blatant tactic to secure wins with little fuss. That was until I found the now obvious standing vertical jump combos which may or may not be unique to Nightwolf due to his combo ending with the axe (I think it's the only character to have a combo ending with a move, and a move that deosn't send them flying away from you at that). For the past 2 weeks or so I've tried casually to beat this time but the game has responded unkindly to that task for whatever reason lol. I even went as far as making a theory TAS which is almost a minute faster than the wr with 6:23 ! Which you can see here youtube.com/watch?v=Fu8r-LsP858 The RNG necessary for this is totally unrealistic though and naturally a lot of manipulation went into it to make a time that low possible. While I do think in rta Nightwolf isn't the most ideal character to aim for wr at this stage, I believe (rng permitting) that maybe he caps out as the fastest character because of his high damaging combo. It's a shame to stop aiming for a better time but the game really has been frustrating me in the short time i've spent with it, although maybe finally uploading this will ease my mind about trying to beat it quickly, and instead take a back seat for a bit and return to it whenever I want to.
