We have now started our application for the US Green Card - this will transition us from an L-1A Visa to a EB-1-C Green Card. I think so far we have put in over 30 hours of preparation!
After moving (relocating) from the UK to the USA (Las Vegas) just 4 months ago we have decided it is time to ensure we can travel to and from the US more freely and easily. This process can take between 12 months and 24 months. We have had to do this, much sooner than usual due to the restrictions on travel. Non-immigrant visa are subject to different rules compared to the green card visa including freedom of travel.

We here on an L-1A which last for a maximum of 7 years. Initially this is active for 3 years and we have to re-apply for extensions up to 7 years total.
