Acryte and I figured that out today on the Zelda IRC ;)
By using Hover Boots + Bombs you can hover down to the Firemaze room with only 2 bombs, so you can get past the Boss Door from there with only 3 explosives.
Alltogether, this way uses only 5 explosives and is a lot more interesting to watch than the old one, that used 15 bomb hovers!
Now Fire Temple Bos Key Skip is definately quicker than getting the Boss Key the normal way ;)
