I have been keeping my tutorials up to date, and this is my favourite 3x3 piston door to date. Making a 3x3 Piston Door in Minecraft 1.18 can be a real challenge. I have made several designs to help you out.
I have done piston door tutorials before, but they usually have their levers in unusual places. This is basically a design by @mysticat that I have modified very slightly in this Redstone Minecraft 1.18 tutorial.
You will need:
22 Redstone Dust
10 Sticky Pistons
50 Blocks of your choice
9 Observers
5 redstone repeaters
2 levers
All my redstone tutorials are designed for beginners, and if you are looking for something more complicated I highly recommend Mysticat or @ThatMumboJumbo .
This design can be easily slotted into most bases in Minecraft 1.18 or Minecraft 1.18.1. It is designed for Java and I have not tested it on Bedrock.
This is definitely my favourite piston door to date. I would say it looks more complicated than my others, but once you have the double piston extender done it is basically one of my most simple designs yet.
