The Armed Forces of Ukraine have supported NATO-led efforts in Afghanistan since 2007, and play a vital role in the countering and disposing of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) as part of Resolute Support's train, advise and assist mission. The Ukrainian contingent is also proud to support the joint quick reaction force at Train, Advise, Assist Command - West.
