Commercial shipping continues to be collateral damage in the Iran war, putting lives and global energy supply in even greater danger following the formal expiration of a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding.



Overnight, a bulk carrier attempting to exit the Strait of Hormuz was struck by an unknown projectile, according to United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations. The attack resulted in one casualty and caused damage to the ship's engine room. This is the eighth vessel attack in the strait the UKMTO has reported this month.
